A worldwide automotive OEM ran all of their vehicle testing with an outdated legacy system. The OEM knew it was time to replace it when the system started to cause line delays and unexpected downtime, costing the OEM millions.

Through our solutions consulting services and goal-orientated approach, our combined teams developed specific project objectives:

1. Create a common and manageable software and set of APIs that would minimize test development and execution time

2. Provide high-quality documentation to detail the software design and API

3. Enable OEM end users to develop a wide range of test applications for vehicle components or completed vehicles

 

Solution

With our objectives and requirements clearly defined, the combined team was able to deliver a complete set of new testing software and documentation that enabled the OEM’s users to develop test applications on-demand. With performance-tuned framework, it was able to process high-network traffic loads in real-time from multiple simultaneous connections on multiple protocols and networks.

As the architecture quality and reliability was critical, the team used a custom test suite to demonstrate 100% code testing coverage.
