Every year at Insight, a person can expect a week full of learning, networking, and excitement. As the week flies by, we have summed up the top five need to knows to ensure your week in Vegas is as productive as possible.
- First and foremost, bring walking shoes! On average a person can walk over 35 miles throughout the week. Mandalay Bay is a very big place, and without proper walking shoes, your feet will want to disown you. Trust us, everyone will understand if you decide to wear tennis shoes.
- Set time aside for the unknown. Pre-planning your agenda before Insight is a must but, in addition to your pre-planning activities, make sure that you have time for unexpected meetings or urgent work that pops up in your everyday routine. To help plan your week, take advantage of IBM’s agenda tool. You can use it to schedule meetings, add Pyramid’s speaking sessions to your agenda and block off that free time!
- The Size of Mandalay Bay. With over 3,309 hotel rooms, 24 elevators, 135,000 square feet of casino floor, and over 1,000,000 square ft. of convention center space, a person can get turned around very easily. We always advise our team to familiarize themselves with the venue and map out meeting spaces (restaurants/coffee shops) that are close to each other to maximize time. - Every year Pyramid Solutions’ holds an annual event to celebrate our customers’ success within the last year. Over a 150 guests attend to enjoy great conversations, hors d’oeuvres and drinks to kick off a great week. This is a great event for a person who may be traveling to Insight alone and wants to get a head start on networking, or for a team who wants to get a chance to talk to other individuals in the Banking and Insurance space.
