SUMMARY | EIPS | EIPA | EIPScan | EDITT
The EtherNet/IP Adapter DLL Kit (EIPA) provides EtherNet/IP Adapter Class functionality for applications developed on PC / Windows™ platforms. The EIPA package consists of a user-mode DLL, COM (ActiveX) component for use of the EIPA DLL with VB, sample Adapter/Server source code (demonstrates use the EIPA DLL), sample STC andEDS files, reference manuals and application notes.
The EIPA DLL provides an Application Programming Interface (API) for using Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) via the TCP/IP (WinSock) interface. The EIPA library can be statically or dynamically linked with the target application software.
The EIPA (EtherNet/IP Adapter Class Protocol Stack) acts as a connection target / server for a variety of I/O connections based on the connection configuration specified by the user. The EIPA also provides unconnected message client andserver capability.
